Cookie Policy
Version 1.0.0 · Last updated 10 July 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage and session storage) may be used for the same purposes. This policy explains how BoomBoom World uses them.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar storage only where necessary to run the Service securely and remember your session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on child-facing flows.
3. Categories we use
Strictly necessary — required for authentication, security, and load balancing. Without these, you cannot sign in or use protected areas. Legal basis: legitimate interests / necessary for the service you request.
Functional — remember in-progress character creation steps (for example, which child profile you are editing) within your browser session. These are not used to track you across other websites.
Analytics (limited) — if enabled, aggregated usage events to understand feature reliability (for example, successful photo upload). We configure analytics to avoid collecting child photos or unnecessary personal data.
4. Third-party cookies
Some cookies may be set by providers that help us operate the Service:
- Supabase Auth — session and authentication tokens.
- Google — only if you choose “Sign in with Google”, subject to Google's policies.
- Infrastructure / CDN — security and performance where applicable.
We do not permit third parties to use cookies on our Service for their own unrelated marketing purposes.
5. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and core features from working.
Where UK or EU law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we will ask before setting them. You may withdraw consent at any time via browser controls or by contacting us.
6. Retention
Session cookies typically expire when you close your browser. Authentication cookies last according to your “remember me” choice and our security settings. See our Privacy Policy for broader data retention.
